Georgetown CT 203-544-0400 Sue@bone-afidedogtraining.com  Sue Grey has been a dog trainer for almost 20 years, having taught dogs in classes and private lessons from puppy level through advanced obedience. Sue is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). Sue has studied basic obedience, aggression, behavioral problem solving, positive methods of training, motivation in training, agility, herding, flyball, frisbee, obedience showing, and training therapy dogs. She has studied under internationally renowned trainers including Dr.Ian Dunbar, Dr. Nicholas Dodman, Dr. Patricia McConnell, Dr. Temple Grandin, and others, attending numerous workshops, lectures and seminars. Competing Copper, her Australian Shepherd, in the obedience show ring, Sue earned one leg of her AKC Companion Dog (CD) title as well as her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title and her Therapy Dog certification. Her first dog, Callie, also attained a CGC and her Therapy Dog certification. Callie appeared in a print ad and nationally-airing TV commercial by William Wegman, internationally renowned photographer. Sue has authored an article for The Pet Gazette and appeared as a guest on Cablevision’s Pet Talk. Sue has done volunteer work with dogs, hosting events for the Girl Scouts, volunteering at PAWS and Adopt-A-Dog events. Sue and Copper participated in the Read to Rover program at local libraries. Sue was a trainer for, and the director of, Dog Gone Smart in Norwalk, for ten years. Prior to becoming a full-time dog trainer, Sue taught public high school for twenty years. She brings a wealth of teaching experience to make her a skilled people instructor, as well as an experienced dog trainer. She also has trained a number of people to become teachers and dog trainers. Sue lives at home with Johnny, a show champion standard dachshund and Coolidge, a miniature dachshund.
Both Sue and Gina are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and continue to further their education in many fields of canine training and behavior.

Hodges-Kaiser, a dog trainer for fifteen years, has taught obedience classes at all levels, specialty classes in Freestyle, tricks, games and advertising as well as private lessons with clients and their dogs. Gina has studied basic obedience, aggression, attention, behavioral problem solving, positive methods of training and motivation in training, training for service and assistance dogs, Frisbee and Canine Musical Freestyle. She has attended numerous workshops, lectures and seminars, studying under the top trainers in their fields. Competing in the obedience show ring with her late Jack Russell Terrier, Nikki, that dynamic pairing earned one leg of the AKC Companion Dog title as well as a Canine Good Citizen award. Gina’s terrier, Nikki, did media work, appearing on the 2001 cover of Home Style Magazine, in a nationally televised Front Line commercial, a student film at Columbia University and an independent feature film titled, “The Favor”. Her late Doberman pincher, Cara’s Truman, also earned his CGC designation and was a credit to his breed.
Relentless, aka Rellie, her current Jack Russell, is an enthusiastic competitor in Go-to-ground events for the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America and conformation. Rellie has many titles to her name and can be seen on the Kress Country Web site under the “Girls”. She recently has been awarded the Canine Good Citizen designation. Her other dog, Nugget, a lab-golden mix, is a certified service assistance dog for PAWS With a Cause and also has his Canine Good Citizen designation.
Gina has also competed in Canine Musical Freestyle with Flash, a Portuguese Water Dog, attaining a first place title at the Beginner level. She and Flash performed their freestyle routine at Eugene’s Nightclub in NYC for the New York City Humane Society and at a pre-Westminster Event in NYC.
She has been featured for her Freestyle work in several local and regional publications and has appeared on Cablevision’s Pet talk program in Connecticut. Gina has also tested and received the title of Certified Professional Dog Trainer, (CPDT) by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She is a CGC evaluator, and field representative with PAWS With a Cause. Gina is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the United Doberman Club, the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America and the World Canine Freestyle Organization.
She has brought dogs to perform Freestyle to entertain at St. Vincent’s Adult Day Care Center and Grasmere Senior Center in Connecticut and also has volunteered at Connecticut Canine Search and Rescue. Some of the students in her Acting Class for Dogs have gone on to be in the movies The Interpreter, Freedom Land and The Departed as well as national commercials.
An International Showmanship judge for Sweet Adelines International, Gina has taught visual performance and choreography all over the world for more than 25 years in that organization. Her experience in performance and instruction create a fun and effective instructor for people and their pooches.
Gina, her husband, Bruce, Rellie and Nugget, now enjoy living in Clearwater, FL.
