There’s a reason they call them “Goofy Newfies!”

Tristan is a 2-1/2 year-old Newfoundland born and bred in Montana. He was such a handful as a puppy that he probably would’ve been sent BACK to Montana - had we not met Gina! Training has been a process, but he has come so far and is finally hitting his stride - he received his CGC earlier this year. Newfoundlands are amazing swimmers (they have webbed feet) and are used as water rescue dogs.

Tristan is currently in training to become a therapy dog. He loves people, especially kids and they seem drawn to him too. Tristan loves his (big) sister, Leia, and she “tolerates” him; eventually she gives in and chases him around the house, nipping at his feet! Tristan loves his time at doggy day care and always pouts when it’s time to leave.

Home is so boring!
